Real de Faula Poniente Golf Course

The club’s second round, and 18- hole par 62 course 3,674 meters in length, is integrated into the down slope of a lovely valley populated by Mediterranean pines with views of the sea and the mountains. The design of this course enables all sorts of players to enjoy a great golfing experience regardless of their handicap.

While this round takes less time to play than the North Course, it is by no mean less exciting. It requires greater mastery of short irons and places heavy demands on the low handicap player, although all its holes offer alternatives to players with medium and high handicaps.

Hole 1: Short par 4 with a dogleg to the right and two bunkers protecting the green: one in front and the other on the left.

Hole 2: A spectacular par 3.288 meters form black markers with try make the green directly form the tee. The most prudent approach, however, is to use a wood to loft the ball into the center of the fairway at the pont where it bends to the right, so as to be well located for a pitch shot into the green.

Hole 4 : Another spectacular par 3 where you will need to shoot across a second ravine, but which offers a lot of relief around the green.

Hole 5: 254-meter par 4 with a slight dogleg to the left and a green guarded by bunkers.

Hole 6: Par 4 with a spectacular dogleg to the right and a enormous bunker that defends the green on the right against all shots intended to make the green directly from the tee.

Hole 7: Beautiful par 3 with a high teeing ground and awesome sea views.

Hole 8: 182-meter par 3 in a pleasing river bed full of native vegetation.

Hole 9: Another long par 3 offering relief players who aren’t inclined to take risks.

Hole 10: 280-meter par 4 where it is better to place the ball prudently on the fairway then take risk. Small dogleg to the left and green bounded by bunkers in front and on the left.

Hole 11: Par 3 with a spectacular high teeing ground from which the Mediterranean can be admired.

Hole 12: 139-meter par 3 with a high teeing ground and a protected green that demands precise shooting.

Hole 13: A short par 4 with a teeing platform for driving the ball onto the fairway and, from there, getting a straight shot at the green.

Hole 14: Long par 3 (182 meters) with a green defended by a water hazard in front. One of the most difficult holes on this course.

Hole 15: Par 3 located at the lowest point of the course, with elevated teeing ground and a high green whose approach is protected by a bunker.

Hole 16: 150- meter par 3 with splendid views of the Sierra de Finestrat mountains and a green protected in front.

Hole 17: Par 4 with a dogleg to the right and the green heavily protected on the right. Here you need to drive the ball to the left to set up a good angle from which to shoot into the green.

Hole 18: Par 4 with a dogleg to the left and the green protected on the right. Although it’s risky, the best tactic is to get over the dogleg on the left and set up the best possible shot into the green.
