Torrequebrada Golf Course
Course Review
Hole 1 is a Par 5 at 435 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.9
Torrequebrada Golf Club starts with a fairly difficult uphill Par
5. There is a huge basin on the right of the fairway blocks any
view of the green. The hole then dog-legs left towards a long thin
green that is surrounded by six bunkers.
Hole 2 is a Par 4 at 337 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.6
An elevate tee to a fairway that is protected by two bunkers either
side. The green is perched on a slight plateau so an extra club
may be needed.
Hole 3 is a Par 3 at 90 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.18
A very short hole that is no more than a lob web. The views on this
green over the surrounding valley and Mediterranean are quite spectacular
and probably the best on any Golf course in the Costa del Sol.
Hole 4 is a Par 4 at 329 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.12
Slight dog-leg left with an elevated tee. The green is a triangular
shape and protected by three bunkers.
Hole 5 is a Par 4 at 345 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.15
Another dog-leg left and you will not be able to cut the corner
as there is a huge mound blocking the way. The green is well protected
by a series of five bunkers.
Hole 6 is a Par 5 at 487 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.4
A monstrous par 5 that has a dog-leg right. Keep the drive up the
middle of the fairway avoiding the two small bunkers. The green
is elevated and also guarded by two more bunkers.
Hole 7 is a Par 4 at 313 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.13
A very lofty tee position and a very tight drive. Dangers are everywhere!
Road in front, OOB to the right, bunkers on the fairway and a lake
if you drive too long. Inevitably you will have an approach over
the lake to a rounded green with three more bunkers.
Hole 8 is a Par 4 at 361 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.3
A dog-leg of nearly 90° that will require a very accurate drive
as there is a bunker ready to punish you if you are too long. At
the turn the green looks closer due to the hollow just in front.
Hole 9 is a Par 3 at 148 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.17
A tricky Par 3 because you cannot sea the whole of the green from
the tee. Also very tight with four bunkers, trees and the river
behind. Short is no option as the green falls away to the left.

Hole 10 is a Par 4 at 382 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.2
The back nine at Torrequebrada Golf Club is a lot tougher than the
front nine. The 10th is good proof of this and where bogie is a
good score. A dog-leg left with a lake on the far right. You need
an accurate drive on the right side of the fairway. Left is trouble!
If you avoid all the trouble then don’t be over the green
as there is a horrible.
Hole 11 is a Par 3 at 164 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.14
A very tricky Par 3 over the lake The green runs from back to front
with bunkers on three different sides.
Hole 12 is a Par 5 at 469 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.5
Long and narrow Par 5 with no fairway bunkers. Keep it straight
and avoid the five bunkers at the green and you should make par
or better.
Hole 13 is a Par 3 at 147 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.16
Par 3 across a valley. Don’t be short or you will drop into
it! Five bunkers scattered around the green to make sure you are
accurate.
Hole 14 is a Par 5 at 462 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.7
Another long Par 5 which has a slight dog-leg right. There is a
bunker just at the turn on the left but no more trouble until you
arrive at the green where there are three bunkers.
Hole 15 is a Par 4 at 321 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.10
This par 4 is all OOB along the right and the green is completed
surrounded by five bunkers.
Hole 16 is a Par 4 at 388 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.1
Definitely the most difficult hole at Torrequebrada Golf Club. The
tee is laid right back amongst the trees and the hole dog legs right.
There is a lake all the way along the right hand side and the fairway
slopes towards it. Don’t hit long as there is a bunker amongst
the trees. Your approach shot is over the lake and the green sits
up on a perch. Don’t be short as the ball will slide all the
way back down towards the ducks.
Hole 17 is a Par 4 at 354 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.8
A tight Par 4 that has a really narrow approach to the green with
a big bunker at the rear of the green and the small one just left.
Hole 18 is a Par 4 at 320 (Metres) from the White
Tees and S.I.11
The finishing hole has and elevated tee and you can see the finishing
line way out in front. There are a total of four bunkers around
the green which is a peculiar shape and could be difficult to find
a straight putt.
